Penn Avenue Meats opened its doors in 1984, with founder Roger Martin at the helm. Forty years later, business is better than ever. Quite a tribute to the proprietor, a master meat cutter, who worked alongside his son, Shannon Martin, until he retired in 2019. Shannon Martin continues to keep the tradition going.
While there is certainly no substitute for a quality product, one visit to Penn Avenue Meats demonstrates why the meat store has operated successfully for close to four decades. Every teammate behind the counter is a connoisseur of personalized service. They offer an effective blend of friendliness, professionalism and a willingness to accommodate their customers that sets the benchmark for a first class operation.
